Issy – Piano, singing and violin teacher

Isabella is a second-year music undergraduate and choral scholar at the University of Oxford, specialising in ethnomusicology and vocal performance. She has a strong background not only in classical music (having extensively studied classical singing, piano, composition and conducting at the Junior Guildhall conservatoire in London) but also in musical theatre (performing with the National Youth Music Theatre for over 7 years as a singer, actor and dancer). She is also extremely interested in exploring non-Western genres, looking to complete her dissertation on International Settlement-era Shanghainese Jazz.

Isabella is a passionate and organised tutor who creates long-lasting positive relationships that allow students to achieve their individual goals. Incorporating her academic knowledge and theatrical performance experience, she enhances and tailors each lesson to inspire and nurture students not only as musicians but also as performers.
