With 14+ years of playing and songwriting in bands and acoustic duos, 7+ years of private teaching experience across all levels and a BA (Hons) degree in professional music, Josh is an ideal hand to help guide you on your guitar-playing journey. He is skilled at performing and teaching a variety of different genres such as rock, pop, blues, country and jazz, as well as improvisation, riff/solo writing and rhythm playing.
Outside of teaching, Josh is the lead guitarist, co-writer and backing vocalist in Brighton-based rock band CLAYTREE, who have enjoyed radio play from BBC Introducing Sussex & Surrey, Planet Rock, and Absolute Radio. Josh believes anyone can learn to play the guitar at any point in their life and has a focus on playing posture, playing without tension and comprehension of music theory to give you the best chance at having a long guitar-playing career.
