SCMT Music tuition opened its doors to provide music lessons in Bristol in 2010, expanding again in 2016. The city has a magnificent music scene and in many ways is the sister to our original community of musicians in Brighton. Our tutors in Bristol come from all kinds of musical backgrounds; classical, popular, folk, jazz… you name it, we have a tutor to suit your child!
We cover the whole city but most of the tutors are fairly central and teach from private studios or from specific University locations, but they can also visit you at home. Bristol is our most diverse centre when it comes to the variety of instruments and the music the tutors specialise in. But of course, classical training is as ever our most prominent umbrella of expertise. ABRSM, Trinity and Rock School grades are very popular with young pianists especially.
Piano, guitar and voice are our most popular instruments with children for music lessons in Bristol, but we offer strings, brass and woodwind too. We even have a small community of percussion specialists. The tutors are all massively active as professional musicians so you’ll have endless opportunities to witness them perform when you book lessons with us. There is so much fun to be had on your musical journey and we can’t wait to get you started.
