November the 6th sees the birthday of not one but two very influential figures within the musical instrument world. Adolphe sax, inventor of the saxophone and John Philip Sousa, inventor of the sousaphone. So in honour of that, this month SCMT will be focusing on instrument inventors as part of our ‘Composer/Musician of the Month’ feature.
