I have been having lessons with Luke for about a month now, and I absolutely love it! I have no idea what it was that prompted you to pair me with Luke, but I am so glad you did. I learned classical piano as a child, but gave it up when I failed grade 8. I returned to regular piano-playing relatively recently after literally decades of virtually never playing anything, Luke is my third teacher during this time, and I literally never realised that piano lessons could be so much fun. I have never studied jazz before, but I would recommend it to any adult learner – it is such a flexible and creative form of playing, and there are so many gorgeous songs to play. Luke has got me working out my own arrangements to classic tunes and even improvising – things that I never imagined I would be able to do. And he is a very patient and tolerant teacher.
