Liz is a music teacher and violinist, with a masters degree in violin performance. As a teacher, she has ten years of experience teaching ages 4 and up. She has worked with all levels of musician, from beginner to advanced.
At the Aaron Copland School of Music where she received her bachelors degree in performance, she also studied music education, composition, ear training and music theory. Liz prides herself on providing an engaging, positive and effective work environment for her students. Each lesson incorporates technique, music theory, sight reading and performance, whether it is playing a small section or the entire piece in front of me or their peers. These key aspects help to ensure that each student understands the fundamentals of their instrument, while also feeling comfortable performing at a school production or a graded exam. ‘I strive to ensure that students grow as musicians and well rounded individuals.’ Liz M
