Thom is an experienced multi-instrumentalist that specialises in voice, having been in training since the age of 11. He has a BMus in Music Peformance and Production from the London College of Contemporary Music and recently graduated from his MA in Digital Music and Sound Art at the University of Brighton. He is trained in musical theatre, classical, rock/pop, and even more esoteric techniques like screaming and overtone singing. His additional instruments include: Piano, Guitar (both electric and acoustic), Drum-kit, Bass, Ocarina, Ukulele, and Synthesisers (which, in his free time, he likes to design and build himself).
He has a boundless passion for music-making and wants to ignite that in his students. Thom’s music has taken him to some amazing places, most recently the Inchindown Oil Tanks in Scotland (the site of the world’s longest acoustic reverb!), where he has written and recorded an album that is due to come out later this year.
Thom believes that playing an instrument should be fun, first and foremost, and that anyone is capable of doing it as long as they are given the tools to do so safely and effectively.
